Here is a dmesg excerpt: ed0 at 0x280-0x29f irq 5 maddr 0xd8000 msize 16384 on isa ed0: address 00:00:c0:xx:xx:xx, type SMC8216/SMC8216C (16 bit) ed1 at 0x200-0x21f irq 11 maddr 0xc0000 msize 8192 on isa ed1: address 00:00:c0:xx:xx:xx, type WD8003EP (8 bit) I don't understand that it's recognized as a 8003.
