The system is 4.6-RC I have no WRKDIRPREFIX set /usr/ports is nfs mounted and cvsupped twice a day as it is over nfs, another user than root is building it [Usually, I have a system user I use to build ports, than I use root only to install them - I am using this system for 2 years now] Thanks for your help Phil.
