There was enough msgs in questions&stable about
3.2 kernel's clock latancy on some platforms. At least
I had 2 listed in subj with same bug.
1st:
Timecounter "i8254" frequency 1193182 Hz
Timecounter "TSC" frequency 90039950 Hz
chip0: <VIA 82C585 (Apollo VP1/VPX) system controller> rev 0x23 on
pci0.0.0
chip1: <VIA 82C586 PCI-ISA bridge> rev 0x27 on pci0.7.0
ide_pci0: <VIA 82C586x (Apollo) Bus-master IDE controller> rev 0x06 on
pci0.7.1
2nd:
chip0 <Intel 82437VX PCI cache memory controller> rev 2 on pci0:0:0
chip1 <Intel 82371SB PCI-ISA bridge> rev 1 on pci0:7:0
chip2 <Intel 82371SB IDE interface> rev 0 on pci0:7:1
I cannot show timecounters in 2nd case cos I installed 2.2.8 on it (it
is critical
for this PC to tick correctly).
Is there any solution?
