At least, not on: ftp://releng4.FreeBSD.org/pub/FreeBSD/snapshots/i386/4.0-20000710-STABLE/doc Several of the .TXT files in the upper directory claim that the handbook *is* installed in /usr/share/doc "if you've installed the doc distribution."
