I am using 3.3 Release and the dhclient program installed by default. The man page dhclient-script(8) says the following in section HOOKS: --Begin quote-- When it starts, the client script first defines a shell function, make_resolv_conf, which is later used to create the /etc/resolv.conf file. To override the default behaviour, redefine this function in the enter hook script. --End quote-- The make_resolv_conf is defined in /sbin/dhclient-script. However, it is NEVER used by the script itself. Thus, overriding the function make_resolv_conf has no effect at all! Also, in the same section, the exit hook script was mistakenly identified as /sbin/dhclient-exit-hooks. It should be /etc/dhclient-exit-hooks. --== Sent via Deja.com http://www.deja.com/ ==-- Share what you know. Learn what you don't.
