( The 2 identical are marked in PDF manual re sound 4 pin connector: "This connector is not supported" but as vlc plays sound via IDE cable .... ? ) I tried all 3 of sysctl hw.snd.default_unit=[0-2] Only 0 seemed to produce sound xcdplayer does play same music CD on abother DVD dribe on another box: 8.0 amd64 though that other DVD drive has an audio cable connected.
