aside from xclock not being widget-aware in digital mode, and lots of other
stoopid problems about the digital clocks in ../ports/x11-clocks

    % TZ=JST date
    Sun Nov  4 22:18:09 GMT 2001
                        ^^^

i am running bash 2.04.0(1) on very recent -stable
