Hi, First I'm very new to FreeBSD/Unix. After some trouble with the installation of XFree in the 4.0 current version, I followed the advice of Filippo, to install the stable version 3.4.(Thank you Filippo) XFree is working now. Fine, so far, now I'd like to install some software, for the version of 3.4 I've got is only a basic installation without any software except XFree. How do I find out what dependencies exist to the corresponding software e.g. gnome? How do I set up my internet connection to fetch the ports (I am behind a WinNT Gateway proxy)? thanks in advance thomas To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
