I am running FreeBSD 3.0-RELEASE (GENERIC). The instructions in the .diff say : ***** To apply this patch, run the following from the directory containing your 'xc' directory: patch -p -E < 3.3.3-3.3.3.1.diff ***** For me this is the /usr/X11R6/ directory (home of xc).
