Should read: net view //workgroup/servername

Since you've got no W2k server in your network, you cannot see wondoze 
domains. Its a "workgroup".

See above. Samba 2.0.x provides windoze workgroups, not domains. For 
win2k Domains, a Win2k server is needed as domain controller.
