Hello. I've got a 6.3 box in which I needed to use debug.mpsafenet=0 in order to avoid deadlocks with ipfw uid rules. I'm thinking of upgrading this to 7.2 and I see the above variable has gone away. Does this mean it is now safe to use such ipfw rules? The last things I could find wrt this matter is this thread: http://unix.derkeiler.com/Mailing-Lists/FreeBSD/arch/2007-07/msg00108.html, but it's from 2007... Any other caveat? bye & Thanks av.
