I always see lines like:

$Id: sysconfig,v 1.52.2.3 1997/01/09 02:42:45 alex Exp $

In various config files and such. Are these lines generated by any
stamping tool or are they just manually entered?

Please CC: as I'm no longer on the list (Got to be too much mail.)
