Most told me to look for config files (rc files) and check file perms of the cdrom. I've done all this and no chance. Here is what ddd tells me about the core file: Core was generated by `kscd'. Program terminated with signal 11, Segmentation fault. Cannot access memory at address 0x20042080. #0 0x0 in ??
