I'm trying to install the 4.4-release or 4.4-stable (Oct 8th) on this old and strange, but previously working Pentium-100 system. The system has PCI and EISA buses and is dual-capable (tried with and without the second processor). It panics on install right after the kernel is configured (through the visual menu or command line config). Page fault. The process is (swapper). The 4.1.1-release floppies booted fine and are now downloading the selected distributions. I tried setting npx' flags to 0x8, disabling all devices except those actually present. Any clues? -mi To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-stable" in the body of the message
