The 2.2.1 Release is a bit old, and so is the X11 server included. You definitely should upgrade to a recent FreeBSD release, you'll find with 2.2.6 the latest released version of XFree86 (3.3.2) which could support your board. After many desperated nights I myself came to the conclusion that I need a new X-Server. I conclude this from http://www.xfree86.org. :"/ Could anyone please give me a hint or step-by-step instruction (only if possible!) to help me out here? I already tried any fancy combination with the existing XFree86 delivered with the 2.2.1 release, but the graphics board always seems to loose sync so that my ViewSonic P815 goes into standby-mode. :"( Any help will too much be appreciated!
