I played tonight with Xfce, KDE, slim and KDM and had a single issue: in KDE some desktop effects stutter (closing the "K" menu, switching workspaces with a cube effect, etc.). I noted that moving the mouse during those animations made the effects smooth. Closing/reopenning sessions with either slim or KDM worked perfectly. I see that kactivitymanagerd crashes a lot and some drm errors in dmesg. I don't know the consequences of that. Could you post at least your Xorg.0.log and dmesg, please? -- Jean-Sébastien Pédron
