Sigh.  This driver used to support multiple playback channels.  I'm 
still trying to figure out what broke in -stable (in -current, it
works fine.)  Try playing with the vchans sysctl as was mentioned
recently on this list.

ESD is more widely supported.  artsd is, of course, perfered if you're
using KDE oriented apps.
