Hello! I have a problem since upgrading from FreeBSD 2.2.8 to FreeBSD 3.1: fbsdboot refuses to start with the newer kernel complaining about "wrong format" (I tried to use the generic kernel, which is about 2.2 M. Copying the old kernel back into /kernel makes fbsdboot work, but ...) Due to the upgrade I cannot re-use the elder kernel in order to compile a smaller version, since newer pgms (e.g. mount) fail to run). Now the usual "What can I do - help me" ;)) regards, Bernd `0` Noll PS: No, I cannot just use a boot-selector, it _must_ start via win/dos (autoexec.bat to make things clear) To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
