Mime-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii" Sender: owner-freebsd-net@FreeBSD.ORG Precedence: bulk X-Loop: FreeBSD.org Greetings, I was wondering if it is possible to run both a proxy and NATd on the same box? I am trying to use programs like NetMeeting and ICQ on my internal machines, but they don't work so hot behind a NATd server. However, both programs (NetMeeting and ICQ) can be used through a proxy server, but I am still a little fuzzy on the difference between the two (proxy and NATd). To use a proxy server do my internal computers require real IP addresses or can I use the 10.x.x.x with a proxy server? I was going to start looking into (what's it called, SOCKS?) but I would like to know if something like this will work before I pull my hair out trying to get the system to do something that is not possible.
