I compiled Mosaic 2.6b2 for FreeBSD 2.0.5
and was going to put a static-linked copy up on ftp.cdrom.com,
however when I link with '-static' I get about 20 undefined
references:

Shell.o: Undefined symbol `_SmcCloseConnection' referenced from text segment
Shell.o: Undefined symbol `_SmcModifyCallbacks' referenced from text segment
Shell.o: Undefined symbol `_SmcClientID' referenced from text segment
Shell.o: Undefined symbol `_SmcOpenConnection' referenced from text segment
Shell.o: Undefined symbol `_SmcGetIceConnection' referenced from text segment
...

What's Smc? And what have I done wrong?

I'm using SWiM 2.0 as the Motif implementation.

Thanks,
