It'll run Linux binaries. Is there > anything else they all have in common except the kernel? Well, I am not sure what I did wrong yesterday and today, but I tried very hard to install Btrieve (http://www.pervasive.com/) for RedHat 6.0. But could not get it to work... Yeah, of course I can start the utilities and could get the user count up, but starting the Micro Kernel Database Engine (mkded) turned out to be a real problem. It said that it started, but ps didn't how it... An other things of course would be compiling and linking an executable that is going to run on FreeBSD and using Btrieve... I guess finally after 15 years I will have to give up on Btrieve since they don't seem to have their act together with a native version for FreeBSD... Don't worry, be Kneppie!
