Aidez-moi, s'il vous plait. I have just installed an Adaptec 1542CF, an internal SCSI hard drive, and an external NEC 3xe CDrom drive in my machine, and attempted to install FreeBSD. All was well until I attempted to use the CD-rom. The install program verified the checksums fine, and then began the extraction process. Soon after, I got memory errors, and the 1542 controller stopped responding to commands. The system kept looping through the debugger, saying things like "MBO not responding" and "1542CF frozen?" I am under the impression that everything is terminated correctly, but I am re-checking anyway. Has anyone ever seen this before, and if so, how the hell do I fix it? If it matters, my hard drive is SCSI ID 6, and the CDrom is ID 1. -- ...................................................................... Peter G. Berger, Esq.
