Luoma composed: luomat-> luomat->> I'm thinking on buying a laptop. luomat-> I purchased the (fairly new) Toshiba-1715 and it came with a 6-gig drive. It came preloaded with ME but I used "fips" to resize that and installed Linux and FreeBSD with no issues. It's now a triple-boot laptop. I purchased a new 20 gig drive but this particular laptop needs to be sent to Toshiba, not a dealer, for the damm thing to be opened. It's too new for me to start twisting, prying etc to put a larger drive in. -- Bill Schoolcraft PO Box 210076 San Francisco, CA 94121 http://ForwardSlashUnix.com "UNIX, A Way of Life."
