We recently purchased a Sun X4100, which has the built-in LSI1064 SAS adapter. So far a lot of stuff seems to work: - autoboots the amd64 6.0-RELEASE disc1 CD - USB keyboard and VGA monitor connected to the back work great - gets all the way to the FreeBSD setup menu but it can't actually start the installation because it doesn't see either of the two Fujitsu 73GB SAS drives. I've got an external USB hard drive on order now, but that's just a temporary measure to mess around with the thing. Does anyone know of any efforts underway for LSI1064 support? If it's of any interest to anyone, here's a screenscrape of the device probing during boot. (Pardon the dust, the method of capturing this was kind of unnatural.) Note pci2.
