The following reply was made to PR ports/66005; it has been noted by GNATS. From: Sergey Matveychuk <sem@FreeBSD.org> To: freebsd-gnats-submit@FreeBSD.org, question+freebsdpr@closedsrc.org Cc: Subject: Re: ports/66005: New port: mail/p5-SpamAssassin-devel - port that follows the 3.0 CVS devel tree of SpamAssassin Date: Fri, 27 Aug 2004 19:38:12 +0400 There are two drawbacks in the port: 1) Using CVS is not a good idea because of any change can breaks the port. The best decision is to make snapshots, test it and place on some FTP/WWW site and update the ports accordantly. 2) You set maintainer field to perl@freebsd.org. You don't want to maintain the port? It's not good for us to add any port without a maintainer. All the more, this port. -- Sem.
