I assume the workstation and gateway are two different computers.

where nic1 is a network interface card
      ip1 is an ip address like 100.0.0.3
      ip2 is an ip address like 100.0.0.4
      ip3 is an ip address like 135.66.89.123, assigned by the isp.
      ip4 is an ip address like 135.66.21.09, assigned by the isp.

So, you really have two networks.
