Mime-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Date: Tue, 23 Jun 1998 16:38:17 +0800 From: Stephen Hocking-Senior Programmer PGS Tensor Perth Sender: owner-freebsd-fs@FreeBSD.ORG Precedence: bulk X-Loop: FreeBSD.org I was thinking of a file system that's layered over both local & NFS filesystems, effectively doing similar volume management to vinum, but on a distributed basis. This means a namespace that's unique within a group of machines, with the ability to have a file spanning more than one node/partition.
