I did more testing and here's some oddities for you: - If I enable the PDC20378 but remove both drives from the P-ATA = connector on the controller then the system boots fine - If I add just the master drive to the controller, the system still = boot fine (drive ad8 on ata4-master) - The panic occurs when I add the second drive (ata4-slave). The = ATA_IDENTIFY timeouts begin happening, then the SETFEATURES time out and = then the panic. If anybody could send me the /sys/dev/ata from -current I'd love to test = it.=20 dave myron orangechicken =E2=8A=A1 206.898.2846 phone|206.774.2767 fax =E2=8A=A0 dave@orangechicken.com =E2=8A=9F 337 1st ave ne. issaquah, wa 98027 -----Original Message----- From: Dave Myron [mailto:lists@orangechicken.com]=20 Sent: Sunday, January 30, 2005 12:42 AM To: freebsd-hardware@freebsd.org Subject: RE: Problem with FastTrak S150 SX4-M =20 Thats a known problem, its partly fixed in -current, the real fix is in = the works. Three files seem to be missing from my = 5.3-Release installation: sys/dev/ata/atapi-all.c, sys/isa/sio.c, and = sys/kern/subr_diskslice.c Are those files not in 5.3 and only in 6.0-Current?
