You can use ppp in interactive mode by just typing "ppp" or "ppp mylabel". Then you can type "term" at the ppp prompt to talk directly to your modem. There's no way to do a Win95-like ``popup'' after it's done the dial bit, 'cos the chat stuff is internal.
