Don't do that, go buy yourself a non-CardBus card, it will save you lots of grief. Oh, by the way, most combo cards (network + modem) is only supported for half the card (ie. the modem OR the network, not both), and this goes for non-CardBus cards as well. > So I would like to know how "advisable" it is to run -CURRENT for a > not-too-experienced user. I know that, by definition, it is the development It is not advisable at all for a _user_. -current is for developers and other people who likes to tinker with their machine to make it work, instead of just using it, like us users do. By definition, -current is "unstable"; you will never know which (features) work, and which doesn't for any given point in time (unless you're one of the developers). > Thank you for any tip! I'm certain that people on this list with hands-on knowledge of the products you mention will give you more accurate answers, but if you want to be able to _use_ your machine, don't run -current on it unless you are (or want to be) a developer. -- mvh Torfinn Ingolfsen To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-mobile" in the body of the message
