I've got some time to check this and cvsupped src/sys/dev/ata from 2005.10.06.00.00.00 and 2005.10.08.00.00.00 from the RELENG_6 branch. The first version works, the second dies instantly with "setting up DMA failed". Here's the dmesg output: http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/query-pr.cgi?q=83518 Either setting hw.physmem smaller than 4G or using an older dev/ata "fixes" the problem. -- Attila Nagy e-mail: Attila.Nagy@fsn.hu Adopt a directory on our free software phone: +3630 306 6758 server! http://www.fsn.hu/?f=brick
