The 2.1.5 ATAPI CDROM code wasn't really good, some improvements have been made meanwhile. So you might want to give the bootfloppy of one of the newer SNAPs a try. The newer IDE CD roms, 4X and 8X tend to follow to ATAPI standard more closely than the old ones.
