That doesn't work. When I try to compile my kernel with those options, it
exits with lots of messages like:

../../dev/sound/isa/ad1816.c:467: 'channel_setblocksize_desc' undeclared
here (not in a function)
../../dev/sound/isa/ad1816.c:467: 'initializer element is not constant
../../dev/sound/isa/ad1816.c:467: (near initialization for
'ad1816chan_methods[4].desc')

etc...
