I have a box which has access to the Internet only from one of its secondary IP addresses. What I end up all the time with is a partial failure: [root@fw ~] printenv | grep -i pro [root@fw ~] [root@fw ~] rm -rf /var/db/portsnap/ ; mkdir /var/db/portsnap/ K[root@fw ~] env FETCH_BIND_ADDRESS=217.29.84.225 portsnap fetch Looking up portsnap.FreeBSD.org mirrors... 7 mirrors found. [root@fw ~] So it does download some things but not all things. Can it be the case that some parts of portsnap do not use fetch(1) to download things? There seems to be a related problem with freebsd-update, at least it fails when HTTP_PROXY is configured with login and password, like "setenv HTTP_PROXY http://user:pass@my.proxy.ru:3128". -- Victor Sudakov, VAS4-RIPE, VAS47-RIPN sip:sudakov@sibptus.tomsk.ru
