I would have thought that the entire discussion about not using reinplace when it isn't needed would have at least slowed you down long enough to think about why having to install a complete program just to handle regular expressions in ports makefiles is a bad idea. Obviously I was wrong. Am I actually the only one who thinks this has gotten totally out of control? Finally, given that Kris is going on an extended leave, I'm curious about who is going to fix the ports that blow up on the next bento run. -------- Original Message -------- Subject: cvs commit: ports/Mk bsd.port.mk Date: Wed, 19 Jun 2002 01:21:27 -0700 (PDT) From: Maxim Sobolev <sobomax@FreeBSD.org> To: cvs-committers@FreeBSD.org, cvs-all@FreeBSD.org sobomax 2002/06/19 01:21:27 PDT Modified files: Mk bsd.port.mk Log: Change the way REINPLACE_CMD works - instead of using perl(1) on systems where sed(1) can't do in-place editing add a new USE_REINPLACE knob, which if turned on defines REINPLACE_CMD and adds textproc/sed_inplace port into BUILD_DEPENDS if necessary.
