However, in Claws for example select a mail from the list, then click the menu "Message" > "Mailing List" > ... IIRC even Apple Mail provides such a feature. A pitfall probably is the common CC'ing on the FreeBSD mailman mailing lists. If somebody decided to chose to get no duplicated messages, the user will receive mails directly sent to the user's address, while the mailing list does not send the same reply, too, so neither a header, nor a footer is available. The web interface, aka HAL 9000: I'm sorry Dave, do you want to "Avoid duplicate copies of messages? When you are listed explicitly in the To: or Cc: headers of a list message, you can opt to not receive another copy from the mailing list.
