On the I8K, one of the function sequences, Fn+D, turns off your screen. The problem is, when I hit Fn+D, the screen will momentarily go blank, then within a second or so it will again come back. Anyone have any ideas on what I can do to get this blanking to work properly? Is there some kernel option I need to change? I'm using GENERIC right now. As a side note, this blanking works as expected in NetBSD and Linux. What is it that FreeBSD is doing differently?
