Subject:   linux-sun-jdk14 + jakarta-tomcat4.1 won't start ... ?

I'm getting the following when trying to use jdk14, but if I use the
native jdk13, it starts fine ... unfortunately, I need 1.4 features ...
am I missing something in my class path?  I'm not finding anything useful
on google :(

Exception during startup processing
java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: org.apache.catalina.startup.Catalina
        at org.apache.catalina.loader.StandardClassLoader.loadClass(StandardClassLoader.java:992)
        at org.apache.catalina.loader.StandardClassLoader.loadClass(StandardClassLoader.java:857)
        at org.apache.catalina.startup.Bootstrap.main(Bootstrap.java:176)
