hi guys, i'm trying XFree86 4.x for the first time ... i installed it from packages and run: XFree86 -configure then i did copy the XF86Config.new to /etc/X11/XF86Config ... startx is workiong fine it's just i need to change the modes ... i tried Ctrl+Alt with -/+ but it's not working. the other problem i have is ... startx only runs as root when i try startx as a user it fails and give me this error: giving up. xinit: No such file or directory (errno 2): unable to connect to X server xinit: No such process (errno 3): Server error. hope one of you cvan help me, thanks, --nader To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
