Hello !

Yes, FreeBSD has SMP (Simetrical multi processing) capabilities. But it's
currently beta. Very good quality and you will find it on FreeBSD version 3.

I know a person who is running FreeBSD 3.0 with SMP for large complex
biochemical calculations - in a Dual Pentium II 333 MHz - with great
success ! Faster than an Alpha, according to him.
