[0], stat=D eferred: Name server: ^W.mydomain.: host name lookup failure This is follow-up to the other message I post which I first suspected the problem was due to my DNS change, and now it doesn't seem like because after I regenerate a new /etc/sendmail.cf from a .mc file using m4, the problem went away. So, my BIG question is, how does the value of relay get assigned, and which rule set(s) does it incur, if it does ? Any sendmail guru able to help me with this ? Note that the above happens only when I send mail to a host (other than itself) in the same domain. Thanks in advance. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: 2.6.2i iQCVAwUBMF9bDkmThh0X7Um5AQGiMwQAqyGgcQtGFRlNbnr15ehhfX5g8zQDmEok lYAoBv6a+jsnwq/n2sWt24O1RCfjMYM6wjWJGs4vKUm1Q82eiIArpsX4eyFkpiOk 7EqtTCt6OfGu2kYN6SIKxjnssALl0+P/cJJNns1v3N7kAPq2lwv15h90espGE59c Lo5rhAXX1iA= =pNue -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
