According to http://www.sourceforge.net/projects/celestia/ Celestia is
only for Windows.  I don't know anything about programming on Windows, so
it's unlikely that I'd know how to port Celestia to FreeBSD.

I know next to nothing about joysticks or USB, but a look at PR 27370
(http://www.FreeBSD.org/cgi/query-pr.cgi?pr=27370) suggests to me that if
FreeBSD crashes with your joystick, Nick Hibma might be interested in
hearing about it.
