The same can be said for 4.5-RELEASE w/mozilla 0.9.7_2 and jdk131p6. Both of these systems are directly connected to the internet. Well, okay, behind a firewall w/natd. Where I _have_ problems is at work, running 4.4-STABLE, mozilla 0.9.8_1 and jdk131p6. There I am behind a problem^H^H^H^H^H^H^Hproxy server, and the VM attempts to make a direct connection. The firewall there will block the response, and I get an "applet didn't initialize" message. All of this, BTW, is with green threads. I haven't bothered with native threads.
