Hi,

Subject says it really.

Two hot swap disks are added to a system 700 km from here, and shall
configure the disks. They are in a Compaq machine with a Compaq Smart Array
431 controller.

It has two (mirrored) disk already, and this is the dmesg after last reboot:

...
ida0: <Compaq Smart Array 431 controller> port 0x4000-0x40ff mem
0xc6fff000-0xc6ffffff irq 5 at device 4.0 on pci3
ida0: drives=1 firm_rev=1.02
idad0: <Compaq Logical Drive> on ida0
idad0: 17343MB (35520480 sectors), blocksize=512
...

Question is, can I configure a RAID setup for the two added disks while the
system is running? This machine i supposed to be up 24-7, apart from the
fact that it is pretty far away :)

I don't know where to start, camcontrol devlist reveals nothing:

# camcontrol devlist
#

Thanks for any input,
Palle
