I had setup "-P" in boot.config and switched ttyd0 on in /etc/ttys and it was working perfectly till sometime ago. If you notice my pa wuax | grep getty output you can see that there is no terminal associated with ttydo entry (pid 27992) also this entry does not show the s+ flags. root 193 0.0 0.1 944 532 v7 Is+ 18Oct01 0:00.00 /usr/libexec/getty Pc ttyv7 root 27838 0.0 0.1 944 600 v0 Is+ 4:23PM 0:00.00 /usr/libexec/getty Pc ttyv0 root 27992 0.0 0.1 940 568 ?? I 5:06PM 0:00.00 /usr/libexec/getty std.9600 ttyd0 The console on the other end of the serial cable just sits and does nothing. I even tried a echo "kdjfd" > /dev/cuaao and it prints to the console. Seems like getty is misbehaving. Here is the line from /etc/ttys: ttyd0 "/usr/libexec/getty std.9600" dialup on secure Any pointers to why this could be happening?
