Why is it when I ping the loopback address 127.0.0.1 on my FreeBSD 4.2 box
I get such bad times
.039 ms is the best I get on this machine... Is this fairly dependent on
processor speed?

I am working on some clustering software using TCP/IP and this doesn't seem
very fast ...
