From: "Kevin Oberman" To: Rainer Alves Cc: bug-followup@FreeBSD.org Subject: Re: ports/103683: multimedia/dvdrip - Problems with lack of threading library Date: Wed, 27 Sep 2006 16:12:53 -0700 --==_Exmh_1159398773_30126P Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Content-Disposition: inline I can get it to run by: LD_PRELOAD=/usr/lib/libpthread.so dvdrip This makes it start, although I don't have any media available to actually try it. Do you have an environmental variable that might be pulling the threading lib into your window manager or something? Can you try doing a make in /usr/ports/x11-toolkits/p5-Gtk2 and then "ldd ./work/Gtk2-1.122/blib/arch/auto/Gtk2/Gtk2.so" See if you have a threading library (libc_r.so or libpthread.so)linked in. BTW, I have the same problem on both 6-STABLE and 7-CURRENT systems. Thanks, -- R. Kevin Oberman, Network Engineer Energy Sciences Network (ESnet) Ernest O.
