well, from reading the current list, it looks in quite a state of flux
atm so I don't know if I want to try it just yet. I might wait for DP2
instead. of course, 5 itself is only (supposedly) 2-3 months away from
becomeing stable anyways I suppose.

ahh, I did wonder what those 2 lines did. I assumed it was something to
do with changing the way irq routing for the pccard controller worked
(althouth I'm not entirely sure what that means). without those 2 lines
the machine acts very wierdly. the console stops updating, the network
stack seems a bit funny. probably some other things too. I suppose I'll
continue experimenting but can you think of anything off hand which
might help, ie to at least get the pcmcia slot working for example. ocne
thats working I can put a wireless card in it and the other things which
don't work can wait.
