I have installed FreeBSD and successfully (I think) compiled X Windows
(X11R6), but I am so newbie I'm dressed in bubble wrap.

How do I run X windows? When I tried "/usr/X11R6" I got "Permission denied."
Pwd shows "/root". Also, please suggest a small program or two to test
within X windows.

Is there a generic structure to these ports (once compiled) and what is the
general method of running them?

TIA

Roger
