Thanks Lucas for your reply. I have already compiled custom kernels twice, without problem. I've read in the FAQ that it is related to memory, and as far as I can tell, the machine has been running RedHat Linux for the past 2 years without problem ... I'll keep an eye on it. Thanks again.
